There are two seasons for sakura shrimp: spring and autumn. Specifically, the spring fishing period is from late March to early June, and the autumn fishing period is from late October to late December.

Sakura shrimp are small cherry-colored shrimp that are landed in Suruga Bay in Shizuoka Prefecture. Sakura shrimp is only caught in Suruga Bay in Japan, and the season is limited. For this reason, sakura shrimp is considered to be a valuable seafood that can only be caught seasonally.

The spawning season for Sakura shrimp is in the summer from late June to late September, and they lay their eggs in the sea at a depth of about 150 meters. Autumn fishing involves catching sakura prawns that are in large numbers after spawning, and spring fishing involves catching sakura prawns that have grown in winter, ensuring that there is no shortage of sakura prawns. There will be two periods.
