Conveyor belt sushi used to be mostly Kura sushi, but Uobei is rapidly catching up.
There aren’t that many Uobei stores, so I think many people don’t know about it.
But if you like conveyor belt sushi, it would be a waste not to know about it!
In this article, we will introduce the recommended points of Uobei .
What is Uobei? It’s a sushi chain like Sushiro Yakura Sushi where each plate costs 110 yen.
Uobei is a conveyor belt sushi chain in the same genre as Sushiro, Kura Sushi, Hama Sushi, and Kappa Sushi .
Most of the dishes are 110 yen each.
For convenience, I said “conveyor belt sushi”, but the fish tray is not rotating !
If you order from the tablet installed at your seat, it will be delivered to your seat on the express train (lol)
In this day and age, it can be a little intimidating to pick up sushi that is being passed around and eat it.
Uobai’s system gives you a sense of cleanliness and security.
Most menu items are 110 yen or 120 yen .
Ramen and udon noodles like other conveyor belt sushi chains.
Side menus such as potatoes and fried chicken.
There are also sweets.
Uobei’s recommended menu
Next, I will introduce my personal favorite, “ Uobei’s recommended menu .”
I think this is where Uobei’s uniqueness differs from other restaurants. (*Please note that the menu may have changed at the time of writing)
“Raw shrimp” is delicious in combination with rock salt
I end up ordering two or three dishes!
The focus is on the lemon that is casually sitting on top of it .
Pink rock salt is provided on the table for fishing . (*Currently, the tablet must be ordered separately. It is free)
Lightly squeeze the lemon over the shrimp and sprinkle with this pink rock salt.
In other words, eat it with lemon salt .
This is delicious!
I feel like the raw shrimp themselves are a little thicker than other stores.
Speaking of conveyor belt sushi, the appeal is that you can enjoy not only sushi that is normally eaten with soy sauce, but also various flavors such as sauce flavor and grilled mayonnaise flavor.
The lemon salt in the seafood gives you a fourth taste, and you can enjoy conveyor belt sushi without getting tired of it.
Isn’t it only the fish bay that has rock salt? (I think Kura sushi was made with regular synthetic salt, and Hama sushi was made with algae salt.)
It’s also delicious to save lemon and sprinkle lemon salt on shellfish, octopus, shrimp, etc.
*Additional note: Since around June 2022, the lemon has disappeared from the top of the “raw shrimp”…
I don’t know if it’s a replacement, but you can now order ” Easy Vinegar ” from the touch panel. (Not always available on the table)
If you use rock salt, try using simple vinegar instead of lemon!
Tuna seared green onion chili oil has a texture and flavor that blends well with the sushi rice.
As of April 2023, this item is no longer on the standard menu.
This is a fun item like conveyor belt sushi.
The so-called Negitoro is topped with chili oil .
The aroma of fried garlic and the flavor of tuna melt together in your mouth, making it delicious.
It’s also good that the texture of garlic chips is an accent.
Although the spiciness is suppressed, there is a chili pepper on the table.
If you like spicy food, please try it.
A slightly rare “Magutakumaki”
Surprisingly, other conveyor belt sushi chains don’t have it, right?
I think it’s a really delicious combination.
This is also my standard menu that I always order when I go there.
The combination of the flavor of the tuna and the texture of the pickled radish is wonderful.
By the way, there is also a warship type.
This one also has a strong seaweed flavor and is delicious.
“Tuna, Salmon, etc. Assortment” where you can eat various things to your heart’s content.
Another feature of Uobei is that they have a large assortment menu.
In addition to this tuna and salmon,
- Tuna/Bottle tuna
- Salmon/grilled salmon
- Shrimp/sweet shrimp
- Whale shellfish/Surf shellfish
- And so on.
This is a relief for people who are picky eaters who feel frustrated because they can’t eat a lot of variety.
I also order it when I want to have one more dish at the end.
A whole horse mackerel
As of October 2023, it is no longer on the standard menu.
huge!
A whole horse mackerel is used for 2 pieces.
It’s extremely filling and has an amazing chewy texture!
I always eat there when I go.
Uobei also has limited-time menus from time to time.
The one I ate was shrimp and avocado pressed sushi .
It didn’t even feel like sushi anymore (lol), but the junk taste was actually delicious.
2021 early summer menu “Angel shrimp”
I really liked the juicy shrimp.
Definitely with lemon salt.
Chutoro appeared at the founding festival on December 6, 2021.
A whopping 110 yen!
This is also a whole squid that appeared at the founding festival.
was delicious~.
In January 2022, “Aburabouzu”, which is said to be a whole body fat, also appeared.
“Raw Octopus from Iwate Prefecture” in May 2022
This is a big hit for me personally!
July 2022 “Boiled whelk”
Unlike raw whelk, it was more chewy and delicious!
I’m looking forward to seasonal specials in the future.
Uobei is expanding its stores! You can make a reservation from the app
Uobei has fewer stores than the major brands, so many people may not be able to visit it, but surprisingly, there are locations in places like Shibuya.
Please check the official website for details.
Using the app makes it easy to reserve seats.
